Highly rec!! Went here for the first time and the GM, who was manning the register, was super helpful in providing recommendations and even samples! The fries + fry sauce is so good, and different than most fries out there. Haven’t tried ordering online but will probably stick to coming in person. There’s enough tables to eat in store with friends.

My son and I both enjoyed our dining experience here at Retro Cheesesteaks. Our food was delicious and piping hot. We will definitely be back especially for those delicious chicken tenders.

Thid was the third time ordering. The chopped cheesesteak was amazing. Succulent and savory. Extra cheese sauce put it over the top. Maduros were perfectly caramelized. Flan superb. The star of the show- the french fries. Delightfully crunchy and not a bit of grease.

Plantains were great. Fires and chicken tenders were amazing. They should sell there sauces in bottles. Great atmosphere for kids with the old school tv shows on.

Was looking for a real cheese steak place googled it didn’t even know this was around work in Oceanside but we order from all around for the office . I had the original cheesesteak and it was delicious this place with now be on our lunch list from now on

Retro is a great spot for some delicious sandwiches, chicken fingers, fries and more! It definitely has the feel of a late night spot, with graffiti covered walls and decor, with a mix of wooden tables and metal seats, serving up some solid food. The seasoned fries are spectacular, and the chicken fingers are fresh, crispy, and delicious. They have a few different great sauce options. My favorite was the Pink Sauce, which was like a ketchup and garlic mayonnaise combo. The service was fantastic. The guy took his time to talk me through all of the options and choices, and made some recommendations which helped a lot. The food is made fresh, so it did take about 15-20 minutes for it to come out, so just be ready for that. Overall, definitely a great place to check out on your next night out in RVC.

Food was great ! Prices were reasonable street parking had to park a block away . Very friendly staff explained the whole menu to me . Will come back !
